Senior Regulation Compliance Officer

White and Shepherd Law Office is looking for a Senior Regulation Compliance Officer to join our diverse and busy team.

Job description/duties:

1. Review new regulations frequently issued by the USCIS, Department of State, and Department of Labor, and prepare summary reports regarding the new regulations and their application to the firm’s portfolios.
2. Regularly update firm teams and firm clients regarding changes in the regulations.
3. Train firm teams on implementation of firm policies to for implementing changes in the regulations.
4. Independently manage a high volume caseload and ensure that all cases are filed in compliance with the relevant regulations.
5. Review cases and case briefs prepared by attorneys, paralegals, or legal assistant.
6. Communicate/collaborate with clients, attorneys, and staff regarding timelines and deadlines for timely filing immigration and litigation cases;
7. Use strong client management skills to communicate effectively with clients, and to and walk clients through complicated legal facts, regulations, and procedures;
8. Exercise excellent analytical, management, and writing skills with a strong attention to detail.

Experience/Education:

Bachelor’s in Political Science, Law, English or other related field (foreign education equivalent is acceptable) with 5 years of experience in any occupation in regulatory compliance or related fields.
